Airware missed critical warning signs: slow enterprise sales cycles, customers' risk aversion toward new technology, and the emergence of cheaper drone hardware from competitors like DJI. The startup prioritized solving a technical problem rather than validating whether enterprises would actually pay premium prices for their solution before building it.
