Intellect identified a critical gap in mental healthcare delivery for global workforces. ​​‌‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​‌​​​​​​‌‌​‌‌‌​​​‌‌Enterprise employees across multinational companies faced severe barriers: limited therapist availability in their regions, language mismatches, cultural disconnects in treatment approaches, and stigma preventing them from seeking help. Mid-to-large employers experienced this acutely, watching productivity decline and healthcare costs rise while employees suffered untreated mental health conditions. The problem was measurably observable through rising absenteeism, disability claims, and employee surveys revealing unmet mental health needs. Existing alternatives—traditional in-person therapy, generic EAP programs, and fragmented digital apps—failed to address hyperlocalised needs across diverse geographies and languages. Early validation came when enterprise clients reported dramatic engagement increases when Intellect offered culturally adapted, locally-available care in employees' native languages. The rapid expansion to 4 million lives across 100 countries and 50 languages demonstrated strong market validation that employers would invest significantly in solving this problem.
